Fantastic onyx earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted with 14kt yellow gold, each earring, is beautifully decorated with 2 faceted onyx beads and single onyx ring. The earrings, which have a 3-dimensional design, hang from a round but faceted onyx bead surmount which attaches to the gold earring wires. An faceted open ring dangles freely from the bead topper, encompassing a slightly larger second faceted bead in the center. Although carrying a rather simple design, the faceted onyx links add and interesting and unique look, catching the light beautifully with every movement. Very light and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings look stunning on. They would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/2" long, is slightly less than 7/8" at the widest point and 3/8" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, including a few very minor chips along the back, there is no serious damage to any of the onyx links or to the gold wires. There is a crack at the top of one of the onyx rings where the gold wire has been riveted through, however, it has been secured and is not noticeable when the earrings are worn.
